I love Acme! After trying all the food kit delivery companies and not being very happy with any of them, I finally found Acme. The best part is the quality of food they deliver (everything is local) combined with the recipes. I really love to cook and have pretty high standards and it is simply delicious. Never a dud recipe. Ever. I discovered Acme over a year ago and I eat at least 2-3 meals a week from there. It’s not cheap but it costs less than take out. I feel really good about supporting this local business.

For this week’s braise box, you’ll slowly roast two whole chickens until succulent and tender, then divide them up for a comforting meal of chicken with mashed potatoes and gravy + steamed broccoli. Later in the week, you’ll use some of the remaining chicken for a bright and refreshing lemony chicken orzo soup. Finally, the last of the chicken will round out your week with some delicious chicken tinga tacos!

ROASTED CHICKEN WITH MASHED POTATOES + GRAVY

Not much is more satisfying than a whole roasted chicken. In this version of the favorite, pasture-raised birds are rubbed with a garlicky rosemary salt, roasted to a golden brown, and served with creamy mashed potatoes, quickly steamed broccoli, and a rich pan gravy.
