Likely originating in Spain and most popular in American diners, French toast is a perennial breakfast favorite, with thick slabs of bread soaked in a rich custard of eggs ands cream then gently pan-fried. Already a decadent plate, we thought we’d up the ante by making it with slabs of butter-swirled Croissant Sourdough bread from our friends at Guerilla Bakery, and topping it with macerated fresh June strawberries and dollops of sweet whipped cream.
